Christmas 2007

Since we didn't get Christmas cards sent out this year (shocking, I know!) for the first time since we moved to Vegas, this pretty much sums it up.......

The kids opened their new pajamas on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning, they were so excited to see Santa brought them a new swing set, along with some toys. Cade got a ton of BYU stuff, and he kept saying this was the best christmas ever! Haylee got her own scrapbook kit, and can't wait to scrapbook with me. Evan was completely content sitting in his new saucer chair eating smarties while the other kids opened their presents. Kendal pretty much slept the whole time in my arms.
We have so much to be thankful for this time of year, especially with all that has happened lately. The Lord has blessed our lives in so many ways, and we truly count our blessings each day. We hope each of you had a wonderful christmas, and we are grateful for your love and friendship!

Polar Express

We went to Williams Arizona to ride on the Polar Express. The kids had so much fun (and so did the parents). We went with some friends, and it is definately going to be a family tradition every year now. We were served hot chocolate and cookies, and they read the Polar Express book to us as the train took us to the North Pole. Once we were there, we saw Santa in his sleigh, with his reindeer, and his elves. The kids all had their noses pressed against the windows, and were freaking out to see Santa! When it was time to go back, we got to pass the North Pole once more, but this time Santa was gone. Then, all of the sudden, Santa was on the train with us!! He came and said hello to all the kids, and gave them each a bell. The rest of the ride back, everyone was singing Christmas carols. Cade was the first kid to volunteer to go up and lead everyone in singing Rudolph.

True Cougar Spirit!

Bryce,Cade, Bryce's dad, and Bryce's brother all went to the BYU/Utah game. Cade was quite a celebrity there with his mohawk! He had people taking pictures of him, and even Utah fans telling him how cool he looked (even though they thought it was the wrong color). Bryce's dad shaved BYU into the back of Bryce's head. Needless to say, they are die-hard BYU fans, and of course, their Cougars won again this year!

Just a quick update......

After several visits to the doctor over the last week, and having my hematoma drained several times, I am finally on my way to healing! Thanks for all the phone calls and prayers.
Having four kids is starting to not seem so bad, now that I can function without being in horrible pain:) My mom left on Wednesday, and we have been doing pretty well. Evan and Haylee have both had colds, so that has made things challenging, but in all, we are doing well.

Haylee & Kendal

I love taking pictures of my kids, and it's even better when they cooperate. Next, I need to do the boys - if I can get Evan to sit long enough!

Halloween Fun!

This year we did the BYU theme. Cade was so proud to be the football player. Haylee loves to be our little cheerleader. Evan was the referee (he even kept the whistle around his neck the entire night) and Kendal was our little football. The kids loved their costumes, and had a blast at the trunk or treat.

I went to the doctor today.....

I thought I was going in for pain that I thought could be related to my tubal. Well, he took one look at my bruised incision, and said "Oh crap". After lots of pushing on the incision area, and an ultrasound, he said I have an incisional hematoma. He said there is about 30 ml of blood pooled under my incision. He then stuck a needle in, just above my incision, and drained about half of the blood out. Needless to say, I feel pretty crappy all over again. I am back to laying on the couch for most of the day, and trying not to do very much until I see him again on Tuesday morning to see what is going on. Hopefully he will have better news for me by then. Anwyay, my mom is staying here for a little longer than planned until we hear what the doctor has to say Tuesday. We could really use your prayers right now, so if you could, please say a prayer for our family. I have cute pictures from Halloween, and I will hopefully get them on here soon.

Kendal Elizabeth is here!!

Kendal was born Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:23 p.m. I had an amnio earlier that night, and it put me into labor. We are so happy that we decided not to find out what we were having. The kids are very excited for their new baby sister. I put together a short slide show with pictures. Here is the link. http://www.rockyou.com/show_my_gallery.php?source=ppsl&instanceid=88806222
Here are some of her stats:
10/23/07
10:23p.m.
7lbs 2 oz. (our smallest baby)
18 inches long (our shortest baby)
She (so far) is very good. She has her days and nights mixed up, so hopefully we can fix that soon:)

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch for our family night activity. The kids loved the pony rides, and Haylee had fun following Cade through the haystack maze. They also jumped in the bounce houses, rode on a train, and picked out their own pumpkins.

On the countdown.....

16 days to go.... I have an amnio scheduled for Oct. 23rd, and if baby is ready, my c-section is scheduled for Oct. 24th. I am sooo ready for this baby to come, and we are all so anxious to know if this baby is a boy or girl!

Football Fever!!

It's that time of year , and once again all of the family is in their BYU gear! I am still on the hunt for a BYU onsie for the new baby, but other than that, the family is ready to go. Cade is on the countdown for the BYU/UNLV game on the 13th. I'm sure we will have plenty of pics to update with. The cheerleader outfit is supposed to be for halloween, but Haylee wears it just about everyday! Oh well, at least I got my money's worth!!

Disneyland

We had the Bowen's stay at our house on the way to Disneyland. We decided at the last minute we would go with them. We went for one day, and the kids had a blast! Evan was content riding in the stroller, and he loved the few rides he got to go on.

Haylee's 4th Birthday!

We celebrated Haylee's 4th birthday with Grandma & Grandpa Wilcox. She loved the princess theme, and was very surprised to find candy in her ice cream cone (it was really a cupcake on top, frosted to look like ice cream, with a candy surprise inside) She said it was the best party ever!
