Quick trip to St George

We went to St George last week for a BYU Quarterback football camp for Cade. His coach was the new QB coming in to replace Max Hall. His name is Riley Nelson. It's kind of hard to see in this picture, but Cade is getting ready to throw the ball. You can check out Cade's blog for more about his experience.

After we were done with the camp, we took the kids to lunch and then went to see the St George temple. It was gorgeous! It was such a fun, quick getaway.

*4th of July*

On July 3rd, we went to Seastrand park to watch the fireworks. Here are my cute firecrackers!

Evan and Cade had a game of football going while we waited...

Once the fireworks started, this was where Evan decided to climb up to watch them (even though we had a great view from where we were sitting:)

Then on the 4th, we did fireworks outside of our house with friends and neighbors. I love these two cuties!

Cade and Tyson with the sparklers
Haylee and Claudia just hanging out waiting for more fireworks..

Around 10:30 that night after the fireworks were done, the older kids all went to the Hancock's house to swim and sleep over. They had such a fun night!

Evan's swimming lessons

Evan started swimming lessons with Miss Brandi this year. We love her - she has been Haylee's swimming teacher for the last few years. He has done great so far. He was already a fish in our pool anyway, now he is a fish without arm floaties:)

Anderson Dairy

We've been trying to keep the kids busy this summer so they don't get too bored. We recently went to Anderson dairy with a group of friends. They have a cute tour for the kids, and of course, fresh ice cream at the end. It's always our favorite part!

The boys didn't want to go. Evan refused to miss swimming lessons, and Cade said he's been to the dairy "a thousand times" lol. It ended up just being us girls, but we had fun:)

Our goodbye with Elder Winters

We said goodbye earlier this month to an incredible missionary - Elder Winters. This was the first missionary since Elder Nicholas (the missionary that was in our ward when Bryce had his accident and came back to church) that he has really bonded with. The kids loved him as well. He was such a great example to them. Evan was especially attached to him, they were best buddies. We miss him so much already, and miss the Elders stopping by a few times a week to read scriptures with our family before we put the kids to bed. It was such a great experience for our kids to see the missionaries in action.

His most recent companion Elder Robinson from Chicago.

Elder Winters is from Washington, so hopefully it wont be too long before we get to see him again.

Evan's first season of T-ball

Evan was finally old enough to start T-ball. This kid is so into sports, you would think he has waited more like 10 years to FINALLY start playing, lol. Needless to say, he loves it!

Springs Preserve

We went with some friends to the Springs Preserve. It's a great place here in the desert.. and probably an even better place to visit in the spring or fall. We went in the middle of July, and I am surprised we all survived. It was so H.O.T.

The kids did have fun together though..

Haylee and Nya.. these two have been inseparable lately. They love each other!

They have some great christmas displays. I think we will wait until then to come back and enjoy this desert experience!
