St George Half Marathon

Just after I crossed the finish line.. my favorite people were there for me:)

Then we grabbed some lunch and went to the park to play. Brock and Evan played football.

The rest of the kids went exploring down by the river (or what was left of a river)

Then it was back to the condo for some swimming. This is exactly what you are supposed to do in January right?

I am so glad all of my family, along with Bryce's parents could come down for this quick getaway for the weekend. We had a blast, and thanks to our families for watching our kids so Bryce and I could go out. You guys are the best!

Christmas Morning

Before all of the chaos.. Santa must have thought there were some good kids in our house this year.

Evan with his Nerf gun vest. More places to store his ammo.. just what he needs!

Reading the letter Santa left for the kids.

LOVE her outfit!

The pillow pets were a huge hit this year..

Can you tell by her reaction???

These two cute girls are BFF's:)

Oh Christmas tree...

This year it was finally time to replace our old fake tree that we had to tie to our shutters last year to even get it to stand up! I decided I wanted my own 'pretty' tree but had to figure out what to do for the kids. This is what I came up with... a princess tree for the girls and a BYU tree for the boys. Brilliant!

All of our trees together. The little trees were a huge hit with the kids, and I LOVE my pretty tree:)

Family Service Project

For a family service project this christmas, we decided to make kits for the homeless. We bought hand sanitizer, first aid kit, lotion, chapstick, gum, hand wipes, tissues, and gloves. The kids made christmas cards for each bag. We also put a pass along cards in the bags with a picture of the Savior on it. We put the kits together during FHE, and had a great lesson about service.

Then we were off to deliver the kits. The first guy was really drunk and could hardly walk over to the car to get his bag. Another guy was asleep, so we left a bag next to his belongings. Mostly we just found people kind of on their own, away from the crowds to give the bags to. Then, we found two older men. They were both so happy and appriciative to get the bags. We were able to watch them open their bags as we were waiting to pull out onto the street. They both got the biggest smiles on their faces as they read their cards. It was such a great experience to share with the kids. They were just as happy to give the gifts as the people who received them.
