4th of July- Kaysville Ut

At Davis High for the fireworks. I know the picture is terrible, it was completely dark, and this was taken on my phone.

We love spending the 4th in Kaysville. Nothing beats the parade, and spending the rest of the day with family and fireworks:)

Taylorsville Dayzz

We had so much fun at the fireworks. I can't believe how many people were there... apparently this is getting bigger every year.

The kids loved the sky divers and the fireworks were pretty good:)

*UTAH*

The kids and I left for Utah 2 weeks after my surgery (see post below). We stopped at our usual stopping place - McDonalds in Cedar City. The kids were so excited to be there and on our way up to see our family.

They always want to take a crazy picture after I take the one with their smiles. Silly kids:)

We decided to go up to Kennecot. I know, not terribly exciting, but we haven't been up there forever. The best part was the huge trucks the kids got to see.

Cade, Brock and Evan named these binoculars 'Joe' and they wanted to get a picture with him Lol.

While we were there we also went to see Brave. The kids loved it, but Evan was scared during some of the darker scenes with the bear fights.

We also went to Hogle Zoo. The kids were so happy to be able to go to a real zoo... Vegas pretty much has pigeons in our zoo. Seriously. The zoo here is pretty sad.

Picnic & Hiking in Provo Canyon

We took the kids and some of their cousins to Bridal Veil Falls while in Utah this year. First, we stopped for a picnic lunch.Then it was on to the falls. Cade and Brock decided to hike to the first, big waterfall, without telling us. They about gave us a heart attack because there were several trails to choose from to come back down, and we knew they didn't know for sure which one was the right one. Thankfully, they chose the right one. Cade came down down with a huge smile on his face, saying how awesome it was up there, and he got to drink the water straight from the waterfall. I am just so glad he didn't get lost, and told him to tell me that he is going that far next time... that was definitely his adventerous side coming out! He is usually so cautious... at least they were safe and apparently had a blast up there!

It was a fun day, but once again, I was over-did it. I was exhausted by the time we got back to my mom's house!

Exploring St George

Grandma Jenkins took us exploring on Saturday after the race. This place was so cool and the kids loved hiking and exploring the caves.

 The kids practically lived in the pool. They swam several times a day, everyday that we were there

 We took a break long enough to go to dinner at Golden Corral. We don't have one in Vegas, so we go every time we are in St. George for a race. It has turned into a tradition.

Then it was back to the pool for more swimming. The weather was so warm, the kids spent almost the whole weekend outside.

 Kendal is such a crack up. This little girl is always making me smile.

Before we left to come home, we all went to Brigham Young's home and took the tour. It was really cool to get to see and hear all about the history of St. George and the church. This tree behind us got struck by lightning in 1972, and is held together by that steel rod and cement inside of the tree. We were all so impressed that it was even possible- it was completely split down the middle.

We just drove past the temple this time. I promised the kids we would walk the grounds again next time. They all love this temple and walking around it. It has definitely turned out to be one of our favorite temples!
