Swimming Lessons

This year we ended up with a new swimming teacher. The teacher we have always had and loved, Ms Brandi, wasn't teaching this year. We were lucky enough to find a new one in time to sign up. Her name was Stephanie, and she did great with the kids. They loved her.

On the last day of lessons, the kids got to go down the waterslide. Evan didn't want to, but Kendal did. At first she though she would go down with Haylee, but then she lost her courage..

but her teacher came to her rescue, and they went down together. Kendal says she never wants to go down the slide again, lol.

Evan's swimming lessons

Evan started swimming lessons with Miss Brandi this year. We love her - she has been Haylee's swimming teacher for the last few years. He has done great so far. He was already a fish in our pool anyway, now he is a fish without arm floaties:)

Swimming lessons

Haylee started swimming lessons for the first time this year. She has always been known as our little sun-bather. She has probably only put her head under the water a handful of times. That just wasn't going to cut it now that we have a pool. She had no choice but to learn to swim. We had heard about this incredible swim teacher, Ms. Brandi. She was amazing, and after just one week, my little Haylee is swimming - head under the water and all! She is loving her new found freedom, and has turned out to be pretty brave, so we have to keep a close eye on her.
